History of Scott's Sirens
How it all began...
The Scott's Siren fan base actually started before we ever got our official name. It began on May 16, 2007; Bruinbelle started the "James Scott Photo Apprecation Thread" at Sony's Soap Community. In this thread, we found many others that shared our opinions on James Scott. Through posting together, we developed a friendship that expanded to another thread.
"Scott's Sirens, The Official James Scott Fan Club Thread" was founded on June 12, 2007 by EJ_Entranced. It was a club devoted to all things James Scott. We spend many posts commenting on images from screen caps as well as his acting talents from daily episodes of Days of Our Lives. However, it was also a place to share things from James' other acting jobs. It was the first place, many of us saw James on All My Children. Both were places where we went to play and converse.
Last year, the two threads were merged into one becoming "Scott's Sirens - The Official James Scott Fan Club Thread". This thread does what the last two did together. We post pictures and gush about James' talents. Currently, there are over 200 members with more added every day.
Scott's Sirens evolves...
Scott's Sirens has evolved into much more than just a fan club started at a message board just discussing all things James related. Many of us have started to do actual things to support James.
Some Sirens have gone to fan events to meet him. Many others have written him letters and postcards. This site was created by two fans who saw a need for a website about James because one did not exist. As a result of their collaboration, scottssirens.com was launched on August 21, 2008. Their vision was to create a place for fans to learn more about James and his work, and to have a friendly place to discuss these things.
In August 2008, at a fan event in Burlington, MA, several Sirens presented James with the very first Scott's Sirens scrapbook. It was a book created by many Sirens sharing their thoughts and opinions on James and his character EJ Dimera. This scrapbook was also sent to producers and writers of Days of Our Lives to let them know what we think of James/EJ. The whole process was a group effort.
The next big Siren activity for James, was in September 2008. The very first postcard campaign was started in support of James/EJ. It was to address our concerns about the writing for EJ not being what it should be on Days of Our Lives. We wanted better writing for the character of EJ on the show.
For some, our support for James goes beyond Days. A few support James' company Urth Solution through donations.
As a result of our interest in James, many Sirens have formed friendships that carry across just discussing James/EJ and the show. Many chat on a daily basis. Scott's Sirens has evolved and will continue to evolve into something so much more than a simple thread on a discussion board.

The Sirens Creed
For one to be a Siren
One has to be devote
Quick of wit and mind
Beautiful within, if not without
One has to have the determination
A need for strengthing our cause
A true love and loyalty for James Scott
All that he is and all that he does
A siren is a songstress, a storyteller
An agent of the truth
And with every harmonious note
Her melody voices the proof
Sing every Siren now
Sing the praises of James
He’s in our hearts just like a melody
And there he’ll always remain

James and his fans
"I'm blessed to have a huge number of people who seem to be very suppportive of my character...and standing out there in the rain right now and many many more who are watching at home and I'm always really surprised that people even get out of bed to come see me or switch the television on and it means a great deal to me...so thank you very much." Day of Days interview (November 1, 2008)
"And as always my words to the fans are ‘thank you.’ As enthusiastic about it as these people are about my character on the show really touches me. And I think I’m very privileged to have people who are always supportive of my work."
About.com interview (February 19, 2009)

Sirens Thoughts on James
Below are some Siren's thoughts on James as to why so many of us are proud to call ourselves "Sirens". This is what we truly think of James and why we are such big fans of his. We hope you enjoy reading what other fans have to say. Oh...and James, if you're by chance reading this we hope you enjoy reading it too!!
James, EJ certainly made us open our eyes and take notice of him when he first met Sami! However YOU are the one who kept our attention with your acting in the role of Elvis DiMera. You have made him a joy to watch! I hope you enjoy playing EJ as much as we delight in watching him. Thank you for making Days our guilty pleasure! UHcougar
"He can take anything & make it into something brilliant, best facial expressions ever!!!" Princesspower22
I love James Scott, he is so talented and I love watching his character growth on Days of our Lives. I am really impressed with his passion for the environment, and i only hope that others follow in his footsteps towards a better greener earth. Keep up the great work James! Sincerely: connie(daysfanforever32)
James is truly an amazing actor. He really knows how to sell a scene. James can convey so much depth and emotion in just a simple glance or gesture. I have been captivated by his acting talents since I first saw him on Days of Our Lives in May 2006. baremingal
James is an amazing actor. I've never been so captivated by a character before. He has this amazing way of allowing me the viewer to feel what EJ feels. He makes EJ believable. In scenes, he has a way of saying so much with using any words. His facial expressions and his eyes tell a great deal. While I'm a big fan of his acting, it's what he does away from acting that truly makes me such a big fan. For that I greatly admire and respect James. On more than one occasion something James has said or done has made me stop, think, and change the way I do things. Thank you James.
James, I think it's a wonderful thing what you're doing with URTH Solution. The phrase "you are the solution" is something I've very much taken to heart. I've been motivated to help make a difference where I can. Tish
